All about me

First and foremost WELCOME and thank you for visiting my blog.
I’m Cara, now in my 30’s and I’m currently a stay at home parent to my only child, Ophelia who is two. We live in Hampshire where we bought a new build home in June 2019.

Ophelia is my rainbow baby, meaning that I miscarried a pregnancy two years before I fell pregnant with her. Unfortunately that miscarriage led to a complete demise in my own mental health for a period of time, which is why I think I now feel so strongly now about being able to help others where possible, because I know first hand that it is possible!
We are fortunate enough to be able to stay at home thanks to my hard working Fiance & Ophelia’s Daddy, Ben. He’s the sort of guy who manages to find a way to do anything and everything and just make it work. It really annoyed me when we first met because I felt like he was just good at everything and I didn’t understand how that was even possible, that was until I made him try baking. He won’t be in the tent with Prue and Paul any time soon so for now we’ll leave him to all of his business meetings and computer stuff.

Over the past few years I been diagnosed with Hypothyrodism, I am now medicated for this but I’m also very interested in eating the best way I can to support my thyroid and using alternative therapies to try and keep my underactive thyroid and the problems it causes at bay, so I will occasionally be blogging about my experiences surrounding my new diagnosis and I also struggle with Hypermobility Syndrome, my joints seem to enjoy trying to pop out of place quite often leaving me in alot of pain, I on the other hand do not enjoy this whatsoever and I spend the majority of my days in pain.

I absolutely love to write and I love taking photos, which is why I’ve set this blog up. I constantly overuse exclamation marks!
I’m an avid Instagram lurker although I am striving to be a little more interactive on there these days. I love a coffee, although I do admit to being a bit of a rubbish coffee drinker, If it’s not a latte then it has to be very milky and I absolutely love food and chocolate… lots and lots of chocolate.
